Imām Busiri رحمة الله عليه composed the Qasīdah after suffering from a stroke which left him partially paralyzed. He prayed to Allāhﷻ to make well and bestow him recovery from his disease. Then, after praying, he fell asleep. In his dream, he saw himself reciting the Qasīdah upon the Beloved ﷺ. After reciting, the Beloved ﷺ touched the paralyzed part of his body and put his Burdah (blanket) over him. When Imām Busiri awoke, he discovered that he had been cured of his paralysis.
